Herschel S. Ungar, DDS, MS

Dr. Herschel Ungar is a surgically trained prosthodontist specializing in comprehensive implant rehabilitation, full-mouth reconstruction, All-on-X, and esthetic dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and completed his advanced prosthodontic training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

Dr. Ungar is particularly passionate about helping patients who have complex dental needs but have struggled to find a clear path forward. He believes that successful treatment begins with listening to the patient, understanding their goals, and developing a cohesive plan rather than simply treating individual teeth.

He enjoys treating complex cases involving full-mouth rehabilitation, implant dentistry, All-on-X, severe dental wear, and esthetic reconstruction. He also values collaboration with general dentists and specialists, working as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve predictable, comprehensive results.

A lifelong Metro Detroit native, Dr. Ungar is proud to care for patients in the community where he was born and raised. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing and following sports and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and five children.

His goal is simple: to give patients a clear path forward—and sometimes, to give them teeth they never realized they could have.
